Norman, OK (Sports Network) - Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops said Monday that junior quarterback Blake Bell will start on Saturday against Tulsa.

Stoops said that quarterback Trevor Knight hurt his knee towards the end of the first half of Oklahoma's 16-7 win over West Virginia on Saturday.

Knight completed just 10-of-20 passes, threw a pair of interceptions and lost a fumble before he was removed in the fourth quarter in favor of Bell.

Bell has 24 rushing scores over the last two years. He completed 9-of-16 passes for 107 yards in 2012.

Stoops added that quarterback Kendal Thompson, who suffered a fractured foot on the first day of preseason practice, has been cleared to return to practice.
