(SportsNetwork.com) - LSU senior quarterback Zach Mettenberger has a torn ACL and will not play in the team's bowl game, according to ESPN.

Mettenberger suffered the injury during the Tigers' 31-27 victory over Arkansas on Saturday. He left the field on crutches after having his leg pinned under a pass-rushing defender.

He threw for 3,082 yards with 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions this season.

Backup quarterback Anthony Jennings will be the starter for the team's bowl appearance.
