Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Alabama's AJ McCarron has captured the 2013 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, presented annually to the top senior quarterback in the nation.

McCarron has completed 67.6 percent of his passes for 2,676 yards with 26 touchdowns and only five interceptions for the 11-1 Crimson Tide this season.

A finalist for last year's Golden Arm Award, McCarron beat out list of candidates that included Clemson's Tajh Boyd, Fresno State's Derek Carr, Northern Illinois' Jordan Lynch and Georgia's Aaron Murray.
