Sioux Falls, SD (SportsNetwork.com) - Taylor Braun scored a game-high 28 points as the North Dakota State Bison crushed the Denver Pioneers, 83-48, in the semifinals of the 30th annual Summit League Tournament at Sioux Falls Arena.

Braun, who was recently named the Summit League Player of the Year, converted 4-of-5 behind the 3-point line and 7-of-9 from the floor overall for top- seeded NDSU (24-6). TrayVonn Wright pitched in with 12 points and nine rebounds in the onslaught as well.

The fourth-seeded Pioneers (16-15) were paced by Cam Griffin with 13 points, Chris Udofia 12 and six rebounds, followed by Bryant Rucker with 11 points in the setback.

North Dakota State scored the first points of the night and never looked back, shooting a staggering 73.9 percent from the floor in the first half, including 5-of-7 behind the 3-point line, in order to secure a lopsided 42-15 advantage at the break. The Pioneers knocked down a total of just six field goals through the first 20 minutes of action.

After missing all six 3-point attempts in the first half, Denver converted just 1-of-7 after intermission, making it that much easier for the Bison to cruise to the win.

NDSU, which led by as many as 42 points late in the second half, turned the ball over only seven times and connected on a sizzling 62.5 percent from the field overall.

With the victory the Bison will now take on IUPU-Ft Wayne, which defeated South Dakota State in the late game, 64-60, in the championship on Tuesday night.
