Recap: Siena vs. Rider

Albany, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Brett Bisping scored 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds as the Siena Saints easily beat the Rider Broncs, 62-47, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game at the Times Union Center.

Rob Poole scored 12 points for the Saints (6-9, 2-2 MAAC) as they won for the third time in the last four games.

Anthony Myles led the Broncs (7-6, 3-1) with 21 points and five rebounds, but he was the only player on the team to make more than a pair of field goals as the team had a two-game win streak snapped.

Both teams shot miserably in the first half, but Siena managed to take a 25-23 lead into the break. Siena made 28 percent of its field goal attempts and 3- of-7 from beyond the arc. Rider shot 29.2 percent from the field and 3-of-9 from 3-point range in the first period.

Siena came out of the intermission on fire and shot 66.7 percent from the floor in the second half. The Broncs only made 25.9 percent of their shots from the field. The Saints had no issues in the second stanza as they cruised to victory.

Siena held the advantage on the glass by outrebounding Rider, 40-31. The Saints also dominated inside by outscoring the Broncs 24-8 in the paint.
