Recap: James Madison vs. Milwaukee
DeKalb, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Aaron paced all scorers with 24 points to lead the Milwaukee Panthers to a 77-66 triumph over the James Madison Dukes as part of the NIU Invitational at the NIU Convocation Center.
Aaron shot 8-of-15 from the field, including 5-of-10 from 3-point range for Milwaukee (2-1). Matt Tiby logged a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Austin Arians and Kyle Kelm netted 14 points apiece.
For JMU (1-2), Andrey Semenov led the way with 20 points. Jackson Kent came off the bench to score 12 points, while Taylor Bessick, Ron Curry and Charles Cooke all poured in 10 points.
Although JMU outshot Milwaukee from the field in the first half, 48.1 percent to 36.7 percent, the score was tied, 31-31, heading into intermission thanks to a 5-of-14 showing from 3-point range for the Panthers.
With the score tied early in the second half, Milwaukee ripped off a quick 7-0 run and never looked back from there.
The Panthers finished the contest 11-of-24 from beyond the arc, while the Dukes made good on only 4-of-17 from 3-point range.Game Notes
