Recap: Oakland vs. Ohio

Rochester, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Duke Mondy and Kahlil Felder both scored 13 points in the Oakland Golden Grizzlies' 73-56 home victory over the Ohio University Bobcats at the Athletics Center O'rena.

Mondy added nine rebounds and Felder seven assists for the Grizzlies (2-7). Corey Petros, Travis Bader and Dante Williams each scored 12 points, and Mitch Baenziger added 11.

Nick Kellogg led the Bobcats (6-2) with 18 points and Stevie Taylor chipped in with 14. The starting frontcourt of Jon Smith and Maurice Ndour each grabbed nine rebounds, with Ndour scoring 12 points and Smith adding 10.

The first half ended as a 25-25 tie with Ohio jumping to an early lead. The Grizzlies only had ten points with just 5:21 seconds to play in the opening frame, but their shots started to fall and they ended the half on an 8-2 run to knot the score.

The Grizzlies started slow to begin the second half as well, only scoring two points in the first three minutes to go down, 32-27. They then put together a 22-5 run to pull away, with the Bobcats getting no closer than nine down the stretch.

The Grizzlies didn't shoot particularly well for the game, hitting only 40.7 percent of their field goal attempts, but they held the Bobcats to just 36.8 percent overall, and 3-of-24 from 3-point territory. The Bobcats also had a whopping 18 turnovers compared to just nine for the Grizzlies.
