Recap: Richmond vs. James Madison

Richmond, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Cedrick Lindsay scored 14 points and dished out nine assists as the Richmond Spiders swarmed the James Madison Dukes for a 68-53 win at the Robins Center.

ShawnDre' Jones came off the bench to score 13 points in just ten minutes for the Spiders (6-2). The starting frontcourt beat the Dukes down with Terry Allen, Alonzo Nelson-Ododa and Derrick Williams each scoring 10 points. Williams added nine rebounds and three blocks.

Charles Cooke led the Dukes (2-6) with 20 points on just 6-of-17 shooting (including 0-of-4 from 3-point range) while fellow starting guard Ron Curry scored 16. Tom Vodanovich and Taylor Bessick had 10 and nine rebounds, respectively, but Vodanovich had a poor game otherwise, shooting 1-of-6 from the field and tallying four turnovers.

The Spiders ran out to a 11-2 in the first five minutes and went into the half with a 35-25 lead. They outshot JMU from the field in the opening 20 minutes, 44 percent to 37 percent

A 7-0 run by the Spiders to start the second half allowed them to pull away. The Dukes would not get closer than 11 the rest of the game and were down by 22 at one point.

JMU shot just 30.9 percent from the field on the night.
