Miami-Ohio (7-9) at Bowling Green (9-9)

GAME NOTES: Having posted wins in their last three games, the Bowling Green Falcons go up against the Miami-Ohio RedHawks in a Mid-American Conference clash at the Stroh Center.

Miami is aiming for its own three-game win streak, after claiming victories versus Ball State (64-52) and Central Michigan (86-80) in its last two games. The RedHawks are still below .500 overall (7-9), but they have a 3-2 mark in MAC play. A home date against Toledo is next on the schedule.

Bowling Green barely edged out Ohio on Wednesday, 58-56, to reach to 9-9 overall and 3-2 in league play. The Falcons are a pedestrian 5-4 on their home floor, but they get right back to the road next time out against Eastern Michigan.

After splitting last year's season series with the Falcons, Miami earned a 63-52 triumph in the MAC Tournament. The RedHawks lead the all-time series, 44-23.

Will Felder tallied 22 points and 13 rebounds and Will Sullivan finished with 20 points to lead Miami past Central Michigan. The RedHawks knocked down 59.3 percent of their shots from the floor and outscored the Chippewas 40-24 in the paint.

Putting up 86 points isn't a feat the RedHawks are likely to replicate any time soon, as they are netting only 66.9 ppg for the season and, despite ranking second in the league in the category, connect on just 44.8 percent from the floor. Felder (15.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg) has enjoyed a very strong season, leading the way in scoring and on the glass. He has connected on 55.2 percent of his shots from the floor and scored in double figures in six straight games. Bill Edwards (12.5 ppg) has been solid in just four games played since returning to the team.

Despite only shooting 39.3 percent from the floor against Ohio, the Falcons still managed to notch a victory thanks to a 25-14 advantage in points off turnovers. They also outscored the Bobcats in the paint, 32-18, led by a 16- point effort from Spencer Parker.

Bowling Green also struggles to put points on the scoreboard, ranking next-to- last in the MAC in scoring (63.2 ppg) on just 42.9 percent shooting. The Falcons have kept themselves competitive by limiting foes to 62.3 ppg and 40.5 percent shooting. Richaun Holmes (14.2 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 3.1 bpg) is a force in the paint, leading the team in both scoring and rebounding, and the conference in blocks. Parker (12.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg) is a solid frontcourt performer as well, while Jehvon Clarke (11.7 ppg, 4.6 apg) and Anthony Henderson (10.9 ppg) do their work in the backcourt. Clarke is fourth in the MAC in assists and is coming off a 15-point outing against Ohio.

Right now the Falcons have seemingly found their rhythm. If Holmes can limit Felder on the interior, BGSU's winning ways should continue.
