Recap: Morehead State vs. SE Missouri St

Morehead, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Brent Arrington scored 20 points and dished out five assists as the Morehead State Eagles easily defeated the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks 80-67 in an Ohio Valley Conference tilt at Johnson Arena.

Drew Kelly scored 16 points for the Eagles (12-7, 3-1 OVC). Angelo Warner registered 14 points and Chad Posthumus brought down 16 boards. Kareem Storey had a team-high seven assists. Morehead State has won four of its last five.

Jarekious Bradley logged a game-high 28 points for SEMO (9-9, 1-4). Tyler Stone had 15 points and seven rebounds, while Lucas Nutt added seven assists. The Redhawks have lost five of their last six contests.

The Eagles shot 32.3 percent from the floor in the first half as they took a 31-22 lead into the intermission. The Redhawks shot a miserable 25.9 percent on field goal attempts, including 5-of-12 from 3-point range.

MSU went on an 11-5 run to close out the game. The Eagles made 54.2 percent of their field goal tries in the second half. SEMO turned things around to shoot 62.1 percent from the field in the frame.

The Eagles held a 38-31 rebounding edge and a 26-11 advantage at the free- throw line over the Redhawks.
