Recap: Tulane vs. Louisiana Tech
New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jaron Johnson and Kenyon McNeail each scored 14 points as the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs routed the Tulane Green Wave, 73-45, in a Conference USA tilt at Devlin Fieldhouse.
Chris Anderson and Alex Hamilton each had 11 points for the Bulldogs (15-3, 3-0 C-USA), who have won seven straight decisions. Kenneth Smith registered 11 assists and three steals.
Louis Dabney paced the Green Wave (9-9, 1-2) with 11 points. Tre Drye brought down seven rebounds and Kevin Thomas tallied four blocks.
Louisiana Tech shot 30.8 percent from the field in the first half, but led 31-18 at the half. Tulane shot a miserable 22.7 percent on field goal attempts, including 0-of-6 from 3-point range. The Green Wave attempted 15 fewer shots than the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs connected on 40.5 percent of their field goal tries in the second half, which was enough to cruise to the win. They led by as much as 32 points in the stanza.
The visitors dominated inside as they outscored Tulane, 28-18, in the paint, and had a 53-37 rebound advantage. The Green Wave went 0-of-14 from 3-point distance in the contest.Game Notes
