Recap: Bradley vs. Drake

Peoria, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Walt Lemon Jr. knocked down 31 points, helping the Bradley Braves knock off the Drake Bulldogs, 68-57, in a Missouri Valley Conference tilt at Carver Arena.

Lemon shot 12-of-20 from the field for the Braves (6-9, 1-1 MVC), who broke out of a seven-game skid. Tyshon Pickett scored eight points and snagged six steals.

Aaron Hawley notched 27 points for the Bulldogs (10-4, 1-1), who had their four-game winning streak snapped. Hawley shot 9-of-13 from the floor, but had no other teammates reach double digits.

The Braves shot 41.9 percent from the field in the opening half, while the Bulldogs converted 38.1 percent. Bradley had its largest lead of the contest (17 points) just over seven minutes in, and the Braves took a 34-28 advantage into halftime.

The Bulldogs improved to shoot 50 percent from the floor in the game's latter half, but were completely outpaced by the Braves, who connected on a red-hot 70.6 percent en route to the double-digit win.

The Braves outscored the Bulldogs in the paint 32-10, in points off turnovers, 27-12, and on fast-break points, 14-0.
