Recap: Columbia vs. Yale

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Alex Rosenberg scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down six rebounds as the Columbia Lions claimed a 62-46 win over the Yale Bulldogs in an Ivy League contest at Levien Gym.

Also scoring in double figures for the Lions (17-10, 6-4 Ivy) were Steve Frankoski and Maodo Lo with 17 and 16 points, respectively, as they posted a third straight win.

The Bulldogs (14-10, 8-2), who had a seven-game win streak come to an end, were led by Armani Cotton with 15 points and Justin Sears 13, as both cleared eight rebounds in the setback.

Yale led by three points early in the first half, but the team made a total of just eight field goals in the period, en route to a 30-23 deficit at the break. The Lions were 52.4 percent accurate from the floor through the first 20 minutes.

Held to just eight field goals in the second half as well, the visitors were just 2-of-10 beyond the arc and 5-of-12 at the free-throw line, making it that much easier for Columbia to cruise to the 16-point home win.

In addition to turning the ball over 14 times, Yale also hurt itself with a mere 9-of-22 effort at the charity stripe on the afternoon.
