Recap: SMU vs. Temple

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Markus Kennedy logged 14 points and nine rebounds as the SMU Mustangs rolled past the Temple Owls, 75-52, in an American Athletic Conference contest at Moody Coliseum.

Shawn Williams had 14 points for the Mustangs (18-5, 7-3 AAC), who have won seven of their last eight games. Keith Frazier and Nic Moore each had 11 points with Moore tallying seven assists as Ben Moore chipped in 10 points.

Dalton Pepper scored 15 points for the Owls (6-15, 1-8), who have lost 10 of their last 11. Anthony Lee registered a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards as Will Cummings added 10 points.

SMU converted 48.3 percent of its field goal attempts in the first period as it led 32-20 at the half. Temple struggled and made just 23.3 percent of its shots from the floor, including 2-of-12 from 3-point range.

The Mustangs were on fire in the second frame as they drained 60.7 percent of their shots from the field. SMU dominated the half and was never in danger of losing the edge, leading by as many as 27 points.

The bench of SMU outscored the Owls' reserves 30-9.
