Recap: St Johns vs. Fordham

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Orlando Sanchez tallied 19 points and eight rebounds off the bench as the St. John's Red Storm dismantled the Fordham Rams, 104-58, as part of the Holiday Festival at Madison Square Garden.

Fellow reserve Sir'Dominic Pointer nearly missed a triple-double with 12 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds to go along with four steals and three blocks for the Red Storm (6-2). D'Angelo Harrison was next in line with 13 points, followed by JaKarr Sampson with 12, and Phil Greene IV with 11.

Mandell Thomas had 15 points and Branden Frazier scored 13 in a losing effort for the Rams (4-3).

The Red Storm created separation thanks to incredible first-half run that saw them make 17 consecutive shots during a span of more than 12 minutes, as they took a 52-32 lead into the break.

The Rams fell further behind in the second stanza, as they made only 8-of-37 field goals (.216).

St. John's shot 66.1 percent for the game en route to its largest margin of victory in the 85-game series with Fordham.
