Grant shot a perfect 11-of-11 at the free-throw line and helped with nine assists for the Fighting Irish (8-3) as they won for the third time in four outings. Pat Connaughton recorded 14 points and nine rebounds, Garrick Sherman added 16 points on 6-of-7 from the field to help the offense.

Both teams shot at least 50 percent from the field in the first half, but the Irish connected on 10-of-13, to the Hoosiers' 7-of-8, at the free-throw line to gain the advantage. At one point the Irish led by 13, their largest lead of the contest, but at the break the score was 47-42 in favor of Notre Dame.

Playing from behind all afternoon, the Hoosiers shot just 32.3 percent from the floor in the second half. The Fighting Irish were slightly better at 38.1 percent and again had a distinct advantage on free throws, making 13-of-17. Notre Dame never trailed in the game.
