South Bend, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Jerian Grant tallied game highs of 23 points and nine assists to lead Notre Dame to a 70-59 win over Bryant at the Joyce Center.

Pat Connaughton and Garrick Sherman each posted double-doubles for the Fighting Irish (7-2), with Connaughton compiling 17 points and 11 rebounds and Sherman pulling down 13 boards to go along with 14 points.

Alex Francis paced Bryant (6-4) with 17 points. Joe O'Shea finished with 13 points in the loss, the Bulldogs' second straight following a 6-2 start.

Grant racked up 15 points and six assists to help the Irish build a 39-27 lead at halftime. The senior point guard accumulated seven of those points during an 18-2 run Notre Dame put together over the final eight-plus minutes of the period to erase a 25-21 deficit.

The Bulldogs pulled within 44-39 on a Dyami Starks 3-pointer with just over 13 minutes left, while a Cory Maynard trey later on cut the Irish's advantage to 56-52 with 2:37 remaining.

Grant knocked down a triple on the ensuing possession, though, igniting a 6-0 spurt that enabled Notre Dame to pull away.
