Recap: NC State vs. Eastern Ky

Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - T.J. Warren notched a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds for the NC State Wolfpack as they downed the Eastern Kentucky Colonels, 75-56, at PNC Arena.

Warren shot 10-of-23 from the field and 9-of-9 from the free-throw line for the Wolfpack (4-2). Jordan Vandenberg tallied 14 points on 7-of-9 from the field. Anthony Barber added 12 points on 6-of-9 from the floor.

Glenn Cosey led the Colonels (6-2) with 14 points on 4-of-9 from 3-point range. Corey Walden chipped in 13 points for EKU.

Both teams struggled to find a shooting rhythm in the opening half, with EKU shooting just 37.9 percent and NC State even worse at 32.1 percent. The difference was from the perimeter, where the Colonels shot 5-of-16 and the Wolfpack missed all seven attempts they took. At halftime, the Colonels led 27-21.

NC State caught fire in the latter half of play, outscoring its opponent 54-29 in the final 20 minutes. That came on a stellar 21-of-32 shooting performance from the field (.656) and 10-of-12 from the stripe. The Colonels, in turn, exactly matched their woeful field goal shooting performance from the first half, and quickly surrendered the lead.

NC State outscored its opponent 44-24 in the paint and 17-8 on fast-break points.
