Recap: Miami-Florida vs. Florida State

Coral Gables, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Aaron Thomas scored 12 points to lead four players in double figures as the Florida State Seminoles powered past the Miami-Florida Hurricanes 63-53 in an ACC bout at the BankUnited Center.

Boris Bojanovsky and Devon Bookert had 11 points apiece for Florida State (12-4, 3-1 ACC), which has won three straight. Ian Miller tacked on 10 points.

Donnavan Kirk and Rion Brown each netted 21 points for Miami (9-7, 1-3), which had won four of its last five.

The Hurricanes led 28-24 at halftime. They shot just 38.7 percent from the field in the first half, but limited the Seminoles to 32 percent shooting.

After halftime Florida State rallied past Miami by shooting 61.9 percent from the floor and 10-of-10 from the free-throw line. The Hurricanes had only nine field goals in the final 20 minutes.

Florida State outscored Miami 24-16 in the paint and held a 37-29 advantage on the glass.
