Recap: Purdue vs. Boston College
West Lafayette, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Terone Johnson scored a game-high 18 points as the Purdue Boilermakers posted a convincing 88-67 win over the Boston College Eagles as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge at Mackey Arena.
Also scoring in double figures for the Boilermakers (7-2) were Ronnie Johnson and Kendall Stephens with 15 and 11 points, respectively, as the team delivered a second straight win.
The Eagles (3-5) were paced by Ryan Anderson with 16 points, followed by Hanlan Olivier with 15 points and eight rebounds. Alex Dragicevich responded with 13 points for the visitors.
Shooting an impressive 52.5 percent from the field in the first half, including 5-of-8 behind the 3-point line, Purdue moved out to a 49-34 advantage at the break.
In the second half the Boilermakers again made good on more than 51 percent from the floor, en route to the 21-point home win.
In addition to shooting knocking down 7-of-14 from behind the 3-point line on the night, Purdue also outscored the Eagles in the paint by a 50-30 margin as well.Game Notes
