Recap: Bradley vs. Tulane

Peoria, IL (Sports Network) - Will Egolf registered a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Bradley Braves captured a 77-72 win over the Tulane Green Wave in the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament at Renaissance Coliseum.

Tyshon Pickett added 17 points for the Braves (18-16), shooting a near-perfect 6-of-7 from the floor, while Dyricus Simms-Edwards and Walt Lemon added 13 and 12 points, respectively, while each hands out six assists for the hosts.

The Green Wave (20-15) were paced by Kendall Timmons who logged a game-high 29 points, shooting 13-of-15 at the free-throw line, while Louis Dabney added 11 points off the bench. Coming up a point shy of a double-double was Josh Davis who cleared a game-high 17 rebounds.

Bradley shot an impressive 52.9 percent from the floor in the first half, but only 4-of-13 beyond the arc, which allowed Tulane to hang around and knot the score at 45-45 at the break.

In the second half the Green Wave managed a mere seven field goals, enough of a drop-off to give Bradley the edge down the stretch.

In a game that featured nine ties and 10 lead changes, the Braves finished the night shooting 51.7 percent from the field in order to overcome a disappointing 5-of-20 behind the 3-point line.

Bradley now heads to the quarterfinals of this tournament with an opponent and date to be determined.
