Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - Miles Dixon scored 14 points off the bench as he helped the Wright State Raiders slip by the Richmond Spiders, 57-51, in the quarterfinals of the College Basketball Invitational Tournament at the Nutter Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Raiders (23-12) was Jerran Young who tallied 13 points and pulled down a game-high seven rebounds.

The Spiders (19-15) were led by Greg Robbins, the only player in double figures for the visitors, with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor.

A back-and-forth battle the entire night, Wright State converted 52.4 percent from the floor in the first half, but made only 1-of-6 beyond the arc and failed to make a single trip to the free-throw line in the period, en route to a 26-23 deficit at the break.

In the second half Richmond converted a total of only eight field goals, while the hosts made good on nine baskets and also knocked down 14-of-18 at the free-throw line heading for the six-point victory.

In a game that featured 15 ties and 16 lead changes, the Spiders turned the ball over 16 times and shot just 4-of-18 behind the 3-point line.

With the victory Wright State now heads to the semifinals of the tournament on Wednesday against an opponent to be determined.
