Recap: Auburn vs. Dayton

Charleston, SC (Sports Network) - Kevin Dillard tallied 20 points and led the Dayton Flyers to a 73-63 win over the Auburn Tigers to finish in fifth place the Charleston Classic at TD Arena.

Dillard was 2-of-3 from three-point range and shot 12-of-14 at the free-throw line in the victory for the Flyers (3-1). Both Devin Oliver and Jalen Robinson contributed 12 points, the latter leading the team with seven rebounds.

Frankie Sullivan was 6-of-15 from the field and led the Tigers (2-2) in scoring with a game-high 23 points. Rob Chubb added 11 points and Noel Johnson tallied 10 off the bench.

Dayton was up 35-25 at halftime after scoring 11 points off Auburn turnovers in the first half. It also helped that the Flyers connected on 13-of-16 at the free-throw line in the period as well.

In the second half both teams put up 38 points, with the Flyers shooting 64.7 from the field, en route to the double-digit win.

Dayton, which turned the ball over 17 times, outscored the Tigers at the charity stripe, 27-13.
