Recap: Austin Peay vs. Tenn-Martin

Clarksville, TN (Sports Network) - Five teammates scored in double-figures, led by Will Triggs with 21 points, as the Austin Peay Governors blew out the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks, 91-58, in an Ohio Valley Conference at the Winfield Dunn Center.

For the Governors (8-23, 4-12 OVC), Anthony Campbell and Chris Freeman each scored 14 points and Chris Horton and Preston Herring both finished with 10 points.

For the Skyhawks (9-20, 5-11), Justin Childs scored 20 points and Mike Liabo added 10 points.

Austin Peay jumped out to a big halftime lead, doubling up UTM 42-21. The Governors knocked down 58.3 percent of their field goal tries in the half and held the Skyhawks to just 20.5 percent shooting.

In the second half, the Governors continued to rain in baskets, making 55.2 percent of their field goal attempts, though they missed all six of their 3- point tries. The Skyhawks improved slightly but still only made 36.7 percent of their shots from the field and missed all but one of their seven 3-point tries, as the Governors coasted to victory.

Austin Peay dominated down low, outscoring UTM in the paint, 48-26, and outrebounding them 46-35.
