Recap: Ball State vs. Kent State

Muncie, IN (Sports Network) - Randal Holt came off the bench to register a game-high 16 points, as the Kent State Golden Flashes defeated the Ball State Cardinals, 61-47, in Mid-American Conference play at Worthen Arena.

Fellow reserve Chris Evans added 14 points for the Golden Flashes (10-6, 1-1 MAC), winners of five of their last six outings.

Majok Majok scored a team-high 13 points and Chris Bond added 10 points for the Cardinals (7-7, 1-1), who saw their modest two-game winning streak come to a halt.

Ball State was held to 27.6-percent shooting from the floor in the first half, as the Golden Flashes claimed a comfortable 35-20 halftime lead.

The Cardinals were unable to find any kind of rhythm in the second stanza, as they shot just 28.1 percent from the floor and made only 2-of-10 3-pointers.

The Cardinals' shooting woes even spilled over to the foul line, where they shot a dismal 8-of-24 for the game. Kent State extended its winning streak to nine in a row in the head-to-head series.
