Recap: Columbia vs. Marist

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Chavaughn Lewis scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Marist Red Foxes held off the Columbia Lions, 67-62, at Levien Gymnasium.

Lewis shot 7-of-15 from the field for Marist (1-2), while Devin Price drilled four three-pointers en route to 16 points.

For Columbia (2-1), Brian Barbour shot a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line on his way to 19 points. Mark Cisco tallied 12 points, five boards, and four blocks.

A low-scoring first half saw neither team crack 41 percent field goal shooting. Columbia led by as many as eight in the frame but Marist climbed back to make its deficit just two, 29-27, heading into the break.

In a back-and-forth second half, Marist broke a 55-55 tied with a pair of Lewis free throws with 3:23 left to play. Barbour made a layup with 12 seconds remaining to make it a one-point game, 63-62, but the Red Foxes drilled all four of their free throw attempts in the final seconds to seal the victory.

There were nine ties and 11 lead changes in the game.
