Recap: James Madison vs. UNC-Wilmington

Harrisonburg, VA (Sports Network) - Rayshawn Goins went 7-of-13 from the field for a game-high 18 points as the James Madison Dukes coasted to a 78-50 decision over the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks in a Colonial Athletic Association bout at the Convocation Center.

A.J. Davis provided a double-double for JMU (8-8, 2-1 CAA) with 16 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Andre Nation chipped in 12 points and Devon Moore dealt out eight assists for the Dukes as they snapped a two-game losing streak.

Keith Rendleman paced UNCW (5-10, 0-3) with 17 points while Cedrick Williams pulled down a team-best eight boards. The setback was the fourth in a row for the Seahawks, who are still winless in league action after three games.

The Dukes took a 38-21 lead into the intermission after a dominant performance over the opening 20 minutes. UNCW was limited to 26.9 percent shooting from the floor while James Madison knocked down 50 percent of its first half field goal attempts.

The Seahawks tried to get to the foul line to make up for their poor accuracy from the field, but they missed nine of their 22 free throws after the break. James Madison converted 15-of-31 of its field goals in the second half to extend its advantage and climb back to the .500 mark.

The Dukes outscored UNCW, 40-18, in the paint and tallied 29 points off of the Seahawks' 21 turnovers.
