Recap: Youngstown St vs. James Madison

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Charles Cooke made a pair of foul shots with eight seconds remaining to give the James Madison Dukes a 69-68 victory over the Youngstown State Penguins as part of the Legends Classic.

Cooke ended with 11 points for the Dukes (1-2), who lost to UCLA and Duquesne to start the season. Rayshawn Goins and Alioune Diouf added 21 and 15 points, respectively.

Damian Eargle had 17 points, six rebounds and six blocks for the Penguins (3-2), who have dropped two straight. Not only did Eargle reach 1,000 points for his career, but he also broke YSU's career blocks record. Ricky Tunstall held the previous record since 1984 with 221 blocks.

Diouf made a 3-pointer to pull James Madison within one, 68-67, with 23 seconds to play.

On the ensuing Youngstown State possession, Shawn Amiker missed a tip-in off Eargle's missed layup.

Cooke was fouled by Eargle and made both foul shots to give the Dukes a 69-68 lead with eight seconds left.

Kendrick Perry missed a jumper as time expired.
