Recap: UCLA vs. Washington St
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Shabazz Muhammad paced four teammates in double figures with 17 points as the UCLA Bruins defeated the Washington State Cougars, 76-62, in Pac-12 Conference action at Pauley Pavilion.
Jordan Adams netted 14 points for UCLA (18-6, 8-3 Pac-12), while Kyle Anderson tallied 12 points and seven assists. Travis Wear scored 11 points, and Larry Drew II had nine points, eight assists, and four steals for the Bruins, who have won two in a row.
For Washington State (11-13, 2-9), Brock Motum scored 17 points, Royce Woolridge had 16 points, and DaVonte Lacy chipped in 10 points. The Cougars are now losers of a season-high four straight games.
UCLA opened up a comfortable 39-24 advantage at intermission by shooting 58.6 percent from the floor while holding Washington State to a lowly 34.8 percent shooting.
The Cougars' field goal efficiency improved after the break to 45.2 percent, but they couldn't gain much ground on the Bruins, who shot 66.7 percent from the floor after halftime.
