Recap: Stanford vs. Seattle

Stanford, CA (Sports Network) - Andy Brown came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points and pull down seven rebounds as he helped lead the Stanford Cardinal to a 68-57 win over the Redhawks of Seattle in non- conference action at Maples Pavilion.

Chasson Randle added 15 points for the Cardinal (5-3), while Dwight Powell accounted for eight points and 13 rebounds and Josh Huestis logged seven points and a game-high 10 blocked shots.

Prince Obasi registered a game-high 18 points and cleared eight rebounds for the Redhawks (2-2) while Deshaun Sunderhaus logged a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in the setback.

Both teams had trouble finding the basket in the first half, but even with just 32.4 percent accuracy from the floor in the period, Seattle still managed to put up a 30-27 advantage at the break. Stanford was a mere 9-of-31 (.290) from the field in the frame.

The Redhawks again had issues in the second half, converting a total of only nine field goals, which allowed the Cardinal to bounce back and take control. The hosts still only made 1-of-6 shots behind the three-point line, but made up for it with 16-of-20 at the free-throw line, en route to the double-digit victory.

Aside from being outscored at the charity stripe, 23-11, the Redhawks also had problems with ball control as they turned it over 22 times.
