Recap: Boise State vs. LSU

Boise, ID (Sports Network) - Anthony Drmic poured in 34 points and Ryan Watkins posted a double-double as the Boise State Broncos toppled the LSU Tigers, 89-70, in a non-conference tilt at Taco Bell Arena.

Watkins had 12 points and 17 rebounds and Derrick Marks added 23 points, six rebounds and six assists for Boise State (7-2).

Corban Collins nailed five 3-pointers and scored 19 points off the bench to pace LSU (6-1). Johnny O'Bryant netted 15 points and Shavon Coleman chipped in 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds.

At the end of the first half, Boise State held a 43-30 lead after shooting 44.1 percent while outscoring LSU 9-1 from the free throw line. LSU hit 42.9 percent of its shots in the first half.

The second half was more of the same as the Broncos shot at a 48.3 percent clip and doubled up the Tigers on points from the free throw line (14-7).

Boise State forced 20 LSU turnovers and scored 30 points off of those miscues. The Broncos also had a 44-27 edge in rebounds, 20 of which came on the offensive end leading to 22 second chance points.
