Recap: Georgia Tech vs. Clemson

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - K.J. McDaniels came off the bench to supply 14 points and help the Clemson Tigers slip by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 56-53, in ACC play at McCamish Pavilion.

Devin Booker accounted for 13 points and eight rebounds for the Tigers (13-11, 5-7 ACC), followed by Milton Jennings with 12 points and six boards as the team snapped a three-game slide.

The Yellow Jackets (13-10, 3-8) were led by Marcus Georges-Hunt and Robert Carter Jr. with 11 and 10 points, respectively, the latter also pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds as they bowed for the second time in three tries.

Points were at a premium in the first half as Tech shot a meager 5-of-29 from the floor and fell behind 20-15 at the break. The Tigers made good on just 8- of-29 (.276) from the field through the first 20 minutes of action.

In the second half both teams picked up the pace as the Yellow Jackets hit on 53.8 percent, but again Clemson was even better at a sizzling 61.9 percent, as the visitors captured the narrow win.

The Tigers survived just 9-of-17 shooting at the charity stripe by converting 5-of-12 beyond the arc on the night.
