Recap: Stanford vs. Nevada

Stanford, CA (Sports Network) - Josh Owens and Chasson Randle tallied 15 points apiece to lead the Stanford Cardinal to a convincing 84-56 win over the Nevada Wolf Pack in the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament at Maples Pavilion.

Also scoring in double figures for Stanford (24-11) were Josh Huestis with 12 points and Aaron Bright with 10 points.

Malik Story led the way for Nevada (28-7) with 14 points, while Deonte Burton and Olek Czyz poured in 13 and 11, respectively.

Stanford was able to take control early by shooting an outstanding 65.4 percent from the field in the first half, which helped it get out to a 42-27 halftime lead.

The Cardinal did not let off the accelerator after the break, as they extended their lead to as many as 32 in the second half.

Nevada shot a lowly 38.8 percent from the floor for the game while committing a game-high 15 turnovers.

Stanford advances to play Massachusetts in the NIT semifinals on March 27.
