Recap: Dartmouth vs. Princeton

Hanover, NH (Sports Network) - Patrick Saunders scored 14 points as the Princeton Tigers downed the Dartmouth Big Green 85-61 in an Ivy League matchup at Leede Arena.

Ian Hummer and Brendan Connolly each had 11 and Denton Koon added 10 for Princeton (16-11, 7-4 Ivy League). The Tigers have now won five of their last six.

John Golden had a game-high 21 points for Dartmouth (5-23, 1-11) which also got 10 points a piece from Gabas Maldunas and Tyler Melville. The Big Green have lost 10 of its last 11.

Princeton shot a sizzling 64.0 percent from the floor including 6-of-9 from three point range to take a 40-24 lead into the locker room. Dartmouth lagged behind connecting on only 37.5 percent of its shots including misses on all three attempts from beyond the arc.

The Tigers kept shooting well and improved to 66.7 percent in the second half as they coasted to victory.

Princeton outscored the Big Green 40-18 on points in the paint and had a slim 27-25 edge on the boards.
