Recap: Yale vs. Cornell

New Haven, CT (Sports Network) - Greg Mangano scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as the Yale Bulldogs downed the Cornell Big Red 71-40 in Ivy League action at John J. Lee Amphitheater.

Jesse Pritchard added 13 points for the Bulldogs (19-7, 9-3 Ivy League) who are within one game of first place in the Ivy League in the wake of Harvard's loss to Penn. Austin Morgan finished with 11 points, while Reggie Willhite dealt out eight assists.

Drew Ferry scored 10 points for Cornell (11-15, 6-6), which has lost three of its last four contests. Shonn Miller grabbed eight rebounds in the losing effort.

Yale opened up a 37-24 halftime lead after shooting an even 50 percent from the floor in the first period. Cornell shot just 25.8 percent from the field in the first half.

The Big Red were contained after the break as well, as they made just 19.4 percent of their field goals in the final 20 minutes.

Cornell never led in the game. Yale scored 22 points off 13 Cornell turnovers.
