Recap: U-S-C vs. Washington St

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Brock Motum scored 27 points to help lift the Washington State Cougars past the USC Trojans 43-38 in a Pac-12 regular season finale at the Galen Center.

Mike Ladd grabbed 11 rebounds for Washington State (15-15, 7-11 Pac-12), which had lost four of its previous five.

Maurice Jones tallied 11 points for USC (6-25, 1-17). The Trojans are now losers of nine straight and 18 of their last 19.

Washington State shot 50 percent from the field in the first half to take a 21-14 lead into halftime.

The Cougars cooled to 37.5 percent from the floor in the second half to allow USC to attempt a comeback. The Trojans cut the deficit to 41-38 on an Alexis Moore three-pointer with 1:57 left in the game, but those would be the last points they would score.

USC shot a woeful 28.9 percent from the floor in the game.
