Recap: Cal State Fullerton vs. CS-Northridge
Fullerton, CA (Sports Network) - D.J. Seeley scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Cal State Fullerton Titans as they topped the Cal State Northridge Matadors in a Big West Conference bout at Titan Gym.
Kwame Vaughn finished with 24 points and five assists for the Titans (20-8, 11-4 Big West), while Isiah Umipig contributed 12 points. Omondi Amoke reeled in 12 rebounds as CSF completed the season sweep of its conference rival.
Josh Greene paced Cal State Northridge (7-21, 3-13) with 19 points while Stephen Maxwell contributed a double-double of 15 points and eight boards.
The Matadors trailed 37-36 at the intermission despite shooting 46.7 percent from the floor in the opening period. Although it made only 36.7 percent of its field goal attempts, CSF held the halftime edge by making 11-of-15 from the charity stripe in the first half.
CSUN went cold after the break and connected on only 36.4 percent of its attempts from the field in the final 20 minutes. The Titans extended their lead by draining 7-of-15 from three-point range in the second half. The Matadors failed to make a field goal in the final 3:18.
CSF's ball movement was exceptional as it dealt out 18 assists while committing only eight turnovers. The Matadors could not find their shooting touch from deep as they made just 5-of-17 from beyond the arc on their way to their fourth loss in a row.Game Notes
