Brown's performance maintains his title as the conference's leading scorer while Myck Kabongo handed out nine assists for Texas (19-11, 9-8 Big 12). The Longhorns are making a late push for the NCAA Tournament and have won back-to-back games.

Oklahoma led by as many as 12 points in the first half but led just 37-33 at the half after shooting 53.3 percent from the floor in the opening period to just 41.8 percent from Texas.

The Longhorns grabbed their first lead of the game, 59-58, on a McClellan three pointer with 6:19 remaining but the Sooners hung around and the score was tied 62-62 with 4:27 left on the clock. Texas then went on an 8-0 spurt to take a 70-62 lead, with just over a minute to play, that the Longhorns would never surrender.

Texas turned 16 Oklahoma turnovers into 18 points and held a slim 36-34 edge in rebounds in the winning effort.
