(SportsNetwork.com) - Wichita State assistant Chris Jans will be the new head men's basketball coach at Bowling Green, according to multiple reports Sunday.

Sports Illustrated first reported Jans would take the job just hours after the top-seeded Shockers were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by Kentucky.

Jans, under head coach Gregg Marshall, helped lead Wichita State to the Final Four last year and on a heralded unbeaten run this season that was ended by the Wildcats on Sunday.

Bowling Green announced on March 11 it would not renew the expiring contract of Louis Orr, who went 101-121 in seven seasons as coach of the Falcons.
