Good Thursday evening, everybody. For the first time in a LONG time, a ridge of high pressure has arrived and carved away the clouds. The warm-up has begun! Tonight will be a cold night with calm winds and mostly clear skies. Overnight lows will dip down to 22 degrees. Mostly sunny skies will prevail through Friday. Highs will climb to 47 degrees. Skies will remain mostly sunny on Saturday, when temperatures climb to average early-March values, near 52 degrees. It will be a SPECTACULAR day to get out and about. Sunday should also be a nice day, weatherwise, with partly sunny skies and a high near 54. Scattered showers will develop late, most likely after dark, to the west of I-75. A series of disorganized disturbances and weak low pressure systems will move through the region on Monday through Thursday of next week. All four days should feature mostly cloudy skies with occasional rain showers. Highs will be near 55 on Monday, 54 on Tuesday, 49 on Wednesday and 48 on Thursday. Overnight lows should remain well above freezing on all four days. For plenty of additional local, original weather content, head over to the StormTeam Weather Blog ... http://stormteam.wtvq.com .
