Governor Steve Beshear is heading to the Far East on Saturday for a week long trade mission. The governor says he will travel to China and Japan to try to build on investments that businesses in those two countries already have made in Kentucky. Japanese companies employ about 37,000 people in Kentucky. They include Toyota Motor Manufacturing, which has an assembly plant in Georgetown. Kentucky has had a trade center in Beijing since 2006.
