Megan Skaggs Anchors on ABC 36 Weeknights 5:30pm, 6pm and 11pm on ABC 36 and 10pm on MYTVQ-2 I first came to ABC 36 in June of 2007 as a general assignment reporter. I will never forget my first couple of days at ABC 36. On my second day, I was sent to cover the murder of Clay City police Chief Randy Lacy. By 6pm that night, I was going live for CNN’s Headline News. I would eventually cover the story until the end of his murder trial, nearly two years later. In 2008 I was nominated for a regional Emmy for my story on the World Chicken Festival in London. I began co-anchoring ABC 36 News with Tom Kenny in October 2008. Prior to arriving in Lexington I spent a few years working for the ABC affiliate in Lansing, Michigan doing everything from reporting, producing and anchoring; I even met my husband there! Today, we are both happy to be back in the Bluegrass and call Lexington home! We also like to call London our 'second home' since I have many family members there as well. I earned my degree in Communication from Michigan State University. (I’m still a Solid Blue Fan though!) When I'm not on the anchor desk, you can catch me out with my golden retriever Della, watching classic movies, or out to dinner with my husband Dave.
