Postal Service Looking to Cut Costs
Friday, 13 November 2009 19:17
The U.S. Postal Service is looking for ways to cut costs in southeastern Kentucky but some are concerned it may affect service.

In September the postal service began looking at whether 'out-going' mail from southeastern Kentucky should be shipped to   Lexington rather than London for processing.

The postal service says volume is down and there's a need to consolidate some services to save money.

The study that's looking at that option won't be finished for a few more months.

Mr
Lexington can't handle the mail it currently gets. Don't believe it? Ask the employees there. Ask the employees in Frankfort what has happened since Lexington took over it's mail.
