The former Cats coach was arrested in early August. As part of his plea deal, Gillispie paid just over a $1,000 in fines and court costs. He also agreed to take an alcohol and drug education program, and his license will be suspended in Kentucky until that course is completed. Gillispie went out through a side door and into a waiting car without making any comments. He did tell the judge he plans to take the alcohol and education program in Texas. Gillispie made the following statement about the incident: “I made a mistake and admitted my mistake today to judge Armstrong. I accept the penalty she has imposed. I want to apologize to the people of Kentucky, my family and friends and I want to thank all of those who have reached out to me over the past several months with kind words of encouragement and support.” Trackback ( 0 )
