Georgetown Police call it a textbook ending, after a 6-hour stand-off that started just after 4 Friday afternoon at 280 Williamsburg Lane. Family members tell ABC36 it all started when 35-year-old Michael Vest got in an argument with his wife, they say the fight escalated and got physical. They say Vest got a loaded gun threatened to kill himself, then took two bottles of the anti-anxiety drugs Xanax and Lexapro. That's when she ran to a neighbor's house and called police. Police say when they got to the home they saw the suspect with a loaded shotgun standing in the doorway. That's when they evacuated the area and the standoff began. Around 8 P.M., Lexington Police arrived on scene and sent two of their robots into the home. Then around 9:45 Friday night, police say they found the suspect in an upstairs bedroom with a loaded rifle. They say they thought he was passed out but when he entered the room he awoke and struggled with police and they had to use a taser on him to take him into custody. Vest was taken to Georgetown Community Hospital, his condition is not known.  Police say they are thankful that the stand-off ended the way it did, with no-one getting hurt.  Charges are still pending.
