Churchill Downs to Add Night Racing

Echo GamelChurchill Downs will be adding night racing next year.
The racetrack announced Monday that it is installing permanent lights at the racetrack.
This comes after a highly successful night racing experiment during its Spring meet.
Business tripled when Churchill Downs held its first-ever night racing events back in June and July.
Churchill Downs expects installation to be complete in time for the 2010 Spring meet.
Track officials say they will poll race fans and members of the horse racing industry to determine the best mix of day and night racing.
