Eight people in Floyd County are indicted for allegedly stating auto accidents to collect insurance money. A grand jury in London has charged each with one count of conspiracy.

The US attorney’s office says the suspects intentionally damaged insured automobiles owned by other conspirators then filed claims.

Five were charged with additional counts of mail fraud. The US attorney’s office says those five used the postal service to further the scheme.
