Would-Be Burglar Stopped By Homeowner
Thursday, 24 September 2009 06:04
altA Lexington man is behind bars after police say he tried to break into the wrong home overnight.

A man says he was taking a shower early this morning at his home on West Fourth Street, when he heard something just outside his house.

He told police he went around to check it out, and saw a man trying to break in through a window. That's when the homeowner grabbed a gun and held the would-be burglar at gunpoint, while he called 9-1-1.

Police later caught up with and arrested Donovan Campbell. He's now in jail, charged with burglary.

That homeowner runs a business out of his home, and he says he was tired of being broken into, so he decided to put a stop to it.

Are you kidding? A home owner held up this guy with a GUN? Homeowners should NOT have gun to protect themselfs. They should only be able to use a kitchen knife...Yes, Im being sarcastic. Let anyone try to climb in MY window; and it won't take me long to figure out what I'll use to stop them (the 12G or the .40c S

I don’t understand how any law abiding gun owner in this state can support a Democrat who wants to abolish the Bill Of Rights (Coakley). I hope and pray that enough of the Democrats use their brain and realize this state and the country are headed in the wrong direction and they vote for Scott Brown for US Senate. Senator Brown has never voted for a tax increase and he has much more experience than Coakley. He has worked in local government as a selectman where he lives, he was a state representative and now a state senator for five or six year. A vote for Brown will turn this country around, visit his state web sight and see what he has done to help small businesses and veterans. We don’t need anymore tax and spend Democrats in the Senate, it’s full of them already.

Democratic gun owners need to take a side, all the information out there indicates that gun control doesn’t work. If criminals obeyed laws our jails and prisons wouldn’t be full. Tougher, much tougher penalties for criminals who use guns to commit crime are needed. Coakley will be just one more vote for the anti-gun groups who I am sure are giving her millions of dollars for her campaign. President Obama won the Presidency by the hundreds of millions of dollars donated by special interest, unions and so on, now Coakley will try and do the same thing. She can’t debate Senator Brown, she has no experience and she will hold the Liberal Democratic line. It’s up to the people off Massachusetts not to pay attention to the millions of dollars the Democrats are going to use as a smoke screen, to cover for Coakley’s short coming of no experience. Pay attention to the facts and the substance of what is being said by Senator Brown and Coakley. If you do this you will vote for Brown.

Thank God this man was able to protect himself and home/business with a gun. The 2nd amendment applies here in MA too. Blessings.
