Checks never arrived to post offices in Richmond Wednesday when they were supposed to, and officials aren't sure where they are. People who were expecting the checks started calling ABC 36 News on Thursday, concerned about the missing mail. Both Social Security and post office officials don't know at this time where the checks are, but they are trying to find out. Social Security representatives say checks have been delayed before and have always turned up. They are hoping the postal trucks carrying the checks might have been delayed because of weather or some other reason. If you are missing your check, call 1-800-772-1213 and let a representative know you have not received it. Social Security officials say if they can't locate the checks by next week, they will have to re-issue them. Trackback ( 0 )
