Protesters Show Up to Paul Filing
Written by Echo Gamel
Wednesday, 30 December 2009 18:50
Echo GamelA Republican with his eye on a U.S. Senate seat had a tough time filing his paperwork Wednesday.
Bowling Green doctor Rand Paul officially entered the Republican primary in hopes of winning the U.S. Senate seat now held by Jim Bunning.
But he didn't file himself.
Protesters at the Capitol in Frankfort got in the way.
"I was actually going to offer to pay for Rand's registration myself today with a personal check if he would file what he really is - a Libertarian," said Mike Bryant, a Paul protester.
Paul's campaign manager filed on his behalf.
Paul held a press conference shortly after the filing at the GOP headquarters in Frankfort, telling his supporters he was ready to help them "take our government back."
Paul has raised $1.7 million dollars for his senate run so far.

Rand Paul FTW!
I'm so tired of these status-quo elitists who think we need to be coddled by the government from cradle to grave. Or, those bigoted islamophobes that think there's a terrorist hiding under their bed or in their closet. Who are willing to sacrifice as many American (besides their own of course) lives, and freedoms, as possible just so these bed-wetters can sleep at night from the oh-so-scary "islamo-fascist" cave-dwellers.

It's sadly ironic when someone quips that Rand Paul doesn't take "national security" seriously. What these warmongers really mean is that they need someone in office who isn't afraid to racially profile Arabs, sadistically torture Muslims, and probably believes the deaths of children starved by sanctions in Iraq (google: dead children in iraq madeleine albright quote) is well worth it.

"You all worship this guy and it is time to understand he is anti-democracy (his own words) and he is anti-education (more of his own words)."

Epic Fail.

What kind of moron would actually buy that argument? Right, Rand Paul is the Anti-Christ who hates America and eats babies! Rand Paul wants Americans to become idiots!

Riiiiight.

4 protesters
There were four "protesters" there wearing orange jumpsuits. There were more like 200 Paul supporters and by the time the event moved to the Republican Headquarters they were told that this was the largest crowd they had seen, and 20 or so had to stand around outside because there wasn't room to get in the door.

I couldn't even see these protesters at the capital as there were too many Rand Paul supporters to see past them. It wasn't until they were standing around out by the road that you could see them, and they looked rather pathetic and lonely. There were a couple of Rand supporters yelling at them, which I will also say looked pretty pathetic as well even if they were right to do so.

What a ridiculous little blurb here.

Senate Candidate
We had a great day filing our paperwork. Contrary to what's being spread by Mr. Bryant, I am not a Libertarian. I am a Constitutional Conservative. I believe in Limited Government, Balanced Budgets, Term Limits, a Strong National Defense, and protected individual rights. Republican and Democrats alike have both driven the debt up to levels I believe are detrimental to our state and country. It's time representatives honor their oath of office and follow the Constitution. To learn more about my campaign go to www.randpaul2010.com and sign up to fight for peace, freedom, and prosperity.

On the Rand
Rand is on the run. He can't make a speech without attacking his opponent. He uses the John Kerry style of politics, flip-flopping on his Gitmo stance. Further, there were a dozen of us, not two or three lone rangers. We do not want for Kentucky what Rand will do. He is bad for our state, but if you want someone who is going to fight for Texas, California, Florida, New York and Montana, then go ahead, vote for him. Rand is all rhetoric and no stance. Paulonites, wake up. You all worship this guy and it is time to understand he is anti-democracy (his own words) and he is anti-education (more of his own words). This guy is bad for our future.

Please Help Our Government and Put God Fearing law
We have strayed so far from what our forefathers had in mind for our dcountry and I for one am so upset that we don't have ANYONE TO STAND FOR OUR GOD GIVEN BELIEFS. i thought your dad would have made a fantastic president. He was real..We have gotten so far off the path I don't know that wee will ever get it right or as near right as before. At least we had a idea of what Americans stood for now look at us . People make fun of us or hate us. We have no Backbone to look these other countries in the eye and say "this is the way it is" and mean it. We need help in our schools and in the other social networks. Lets put the 10 commandments back in our life and the prqayers back in our schools and give the teACHERS AND PRINCIPLES THE POWER THEY USE TO HAVE BEFORE WE GOT SO idealistic. We didn't have a lot of money but we did have pride and the kids didn't shoot each other at school or derive by. God HElP YOU TO GET In office and help the senators on the hill get back to reality. A suppporter from the state of Texas.
